The Transfix Cost Model is a tool that uses data science and machine learning to predict carrier costs for your specific lanes and freight characteristics. It’s built using a combination of third-party market rates and your actual coverage data. This means the model is tailored to your business and can provide more accurate forecasts than generic market rates.
The model is updated daily to ensure accuracy and reflect current market conditions. It supports over 1,000 features out of the box and can be extended to include other factors present in your data. Following integration, training the model with your data typically takes about 30 days. From there, you’ll be able to access it through our user-friendly tooling and/or directly via API.
Please note that economic shifts and natural disasters such as weather events are not accounted for. The model’s accuracy also depends on the quality and completeness of the data provided to Transfix.
